not connected?

The IP camera with SKU : 2401507 is connected with full WIFI but there is no Video streaming. I am frustrated as it show everything is alright but not video.

Hello Zahadath,

It generally happens when the streaming of the video isn’t possible due to the WiFi not sustaining it or that the mobile device internet is not able to sustain the playback too (as all video streaming can encounter at some point).

The camera needs a stable WiFi connection allowing it to stream video constantly at 0.19 Mbps for SD and 0.53 Mbps for HD:

720p quality (HD)

  • 0.53 Mbps with a lot of movement in the camera’s field of view
  • 0.20 Mbps without movement in the camera’s field of view

480p quality (SD)

  • 0.19 Mbps with a lot of movement in the camera’s field of view
  • 0.13 Mbps without movement in the camera’s field of view

Ways to resolve this are;

  • check the WiFi signal to the camera is strong enough (go to settings, my devices and then whichever camera you want to check)
  • check the WiFi channel is not too congested which is causing the bandwidth to be throttled (can be checked on PC using Acrylic WiFi, on Mac using Netspot or Android - WiFi Analyzer)
  • Reduce the video quality from FHD to HD or even down to SD
