How do I delete an old Tahoma device and add a new one?

I received a faulty Tahoma that was registered to my e-mail address. I have now received a replacement but it won't let me delete the old device and activate the new device as it tells me I already have Tahoma registered to that e-mail address. How do I get this removed so I can add my new one and get going ?
