In a wired system, the control point is connected to the motor by electrical wires which communicate your commands to the motor. In this case, the control point is static. In the radio system, the commands are transmitted to the motor by means of radio waves. There is no electrical wiring between the motor and the control point. It can either be secured to the wall (like a switch) or mobile (remote control). It avoids all additional wiring and does not damage your home.
